Haohuahong Scenic Spot is a national 4A‑level cultural‑tourism landmark located in Haohuahong Town, Huishui County, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. Centered on Buyi ethnic‑group culture and the famous folk‑song IP “Haohuahong”, it serves as a comprehensive tourist resort integrating folk‑custom performances, tourist distribution, leisure sightseeing and cultural‑tourism events, and acts as a key demonstration project for rural‑vitalization‑oriented cultural‑tourism development in Qiannan. As an important supporting facility for scenic‑spot upgrading, the membrane‑structure canopy covers tourist‑leisure zones and performance square, adopting an integrated system of spatial steel‑frame and tensioned landscape‑membrane. Its smooth curved‑surface shape achieves perfect harmony with local mountain‑river scenery and ethnic‑cultural features.
Located on the Yunnan‑Guizhou Plateau, the site features humid‑rainy climate, intensive ultraviolet radiation and strong mountain gusts. Open‑air structures are continuously exposed to high humidity, rainfall and powerful UV rays. The steel skeleton is treated with hot‑dip galvanization plus multi‑layer anti‑corrosion coating to prevent rusting under humid conditions. High‑weather‑resistant PTFE landscape‑membrane material is selected for excellent anti‑aging, self‑cleaning, waterproof, sun‑shading and heat‑insulation performance. The curved tension‑shape imposes strict requirements on steel‑structure positioning, membrane cutting and prestress tension control. Construction difficulties such as membrane‑surface ponding, uneven tension and excessive local stress are fully addressed to guarantee wind‑resistance safety and long‑term durability of the canopy.
We undertook the integrated construction of steel skeleton and tension‑membrane, covering detailed design of special‑shaped steel frame, prefabrication of steel‑pipe members, shot‑blasting anti‑corrosion coating, on‑site hoisting and assembly of steel‑structure, precise membrane cutting & hot‑welding, prestress tension forming and joint sealing. Strict quality control was carried out for steel‑component precision, high‑altitude welding NDT inspection and membrane tension stress. The curved landscape canopy was delivered with high quality, adding an iconic scenic facility for Haohuahong tourist area and promoting the high‑quality development of local cultural‑tourism industry.
