As one of China’s benchmark enterprises in the new‑energy‑vehicle industry, BAIC New‑Energy vigorously constructs outdoor charging infrastructure within its factory zones and office campuses to provide safe and reliable charging services for company‑owned vehicles and test‑drive cars. As an essential supporting protective facility, this charging‑station canopy adopts an integrated system of steel‑structure support frame and high‑weather‑resistance tensioned membrane. The continuous membrane shelter covers multiple AC and DC charging‑parking bays. It improves the hardware conditions of new‑energy facilities and creates a safe and comfortable outdoor‑charging environment, supporting the construction of a low‑carbon green‑travel system for the enterprise.
Exposed to open‑air conditions for a long time, precision electrical components of chargers such as control‑circuit boards, charging‑guns and display screens are vulnerable to intense sunshine, rainfall, frost, snow and wind‑sand erosion. High‑temperature exposure may lead to overheating and power‑reduction of charging equipment, while rainwater infiltration brings hidden dangers such as electric‑leakage and short‑circuit. The steel‑support‑frame is hot‑dip‑galvanized for outstanding outdoor anti‑corrosion performance. Flame‑retardant, UV‑resistant, waterproof and self‑cleaning PVDF tension‑membrane is selected to block sunshine and rain, lower temperature under the canopy. Optimized drainage slope eliminates ponding‑leakage risks. Structural calculation is carried out in accordance with wind‑load standards for outdoor charging stations. Key construction details including foundation anchorage, membrane prestress, pipeline reservation and edge waterproof‑sealing are carefully handled to guarantee structural stability and electrical‑safety performance.
We undertook the integrated construction of steel‑structure frame and tensioned‑membrane for the charging‑station, covering detailed design of continuous charging canopies, steel‑component prefabrication, shot‑blasting anti‑corrosion coating, on‑site hoisting and assembly of steel columns and beams, precise membrane cutting & hot‑welding, prestress tension forming and drainage‑joint sealing. Strict quality‑control was implemented for steel‑fabrication precision, on‑site welding quality and membrane‑tension stress. The layout of canopy and column‑grid was customized according to charger positions. We delivered high‑quality sun‑shade and rain‑proof shelters and provided a reliable steel‑membrane supporting solution for long‑term safe‑and‑stable operation of BAIC new‑energy charging facilities.
