Located in Balihu New Area, Jiujiang Stadium is a landmark large‑scale cultural and sports building and the main opening‑ceremony venue of the 16th Jiangxi Provincial Games. With a capacity of more than 30,000 spectators, it undertakes provincial comprehensive sports events, large‑scale performances and public fitness activities, becoming a beautiful urban landmark along Balihu Lake. The grandstand adopts reinforced concrete frame structure, while the upper canopy adopts large‑span arc spatial pipe truss system with elegant overall integration with local natural scenery.

The stadium canopy adopts double‑cantilever spatial pipe truss with complex curved surface, large span and heavy single‑truss hoisting weight. A large number of steel pipe intersecting joints bring high requirements for spatial coordinate positioning, segmented hoisting accuracy, high‑altitude welding deformation control and overall closure precision. Located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, the site features high annual humidity, rainy plum seasons and frequent severe convective weather, requiring excellent wind‑snow resistance and structural durability. A customized anti‑corrosion and fire‑protection system is applied to truss members, intersecting cuts and support joints to ensure long‑term structural safety.

We undertook the full pipe truss construction works, including detailed design, factory prefabrication, shot‑blasting anti‑corrosion coating, on‑site frame assembly, segmented high‑altitude hoisting and integral closure welding. Strict quality control was implemented on component precision, joint dimension deviation, welding quality and non‑destructive testing. With real‑time deformation monitoring of cantilever structures, we successfully solved construction difficulties of large‑span curved pipe trusses and completed the roof steel structure with high standards, contributing to the construction of Jiujiang modern lakeside sports landmark.
