Curtain‑Wall Project of Yi‑He Hui‑Lin‑Wan Commercial‑Complex, Xuzhou

Located on South Third‑Ring Road, Quanshan District, Xuzhou, Yi‑He Hui‑Lin‑Wan Commercial‑Complex is a landmark mixed‑use building in southern‑Xuzhou, with a total construction‑area of around 93,000 ㎡. The complex consists of two‑story underground basement and a 23‑story superstructure, combining multi‑story commercial podium and high‑rise office tower. Integrated with shopping‑mall, catering‑leisure, community‑services and premium office‑space, it ranks among Xuzhou’s few high‑rise all‑steel‑structure buildings and greatly improves local commercial‑business supporting facilities as a vital urban‑image landmark. As the core exterior‑enclosure system, the facade curtain‑wall of the tower mainly adopts light‑grey LOW‑E double‑glazing insulated‑glass curtain‑wall, while the podium is fitted with decorative aluminum‑panel system. Its modern‑style transparent facade realizes perfect balance of lighting‑noise‑reduction, thermal‑insulation, wind‑rain resistance and urban‑landscape presentation.

As a high‑rise complex curtain‑wall project, it features huge vertical height of tower facade, massive curtain‑wall panels and strict positioning‑precision requirements for keel installation at high‑altitude. Major construction‑difficulties include shape‑variation between tower and podium, waterproof‑treatment for corner joints, expansion‑joints and roof‑curtain‑wall connection, hoisting‑protection of glass panels and installation of lightning‑protection system. Located in Huaihai region with distinct four‑seasons, frequent summer rainstorm and variable winter wind‑snow‑load, the curtain‑wall system is specially calculated for high‑rise‑building standards on wind‑pressure‑resistance, water‑tightness and air‑tightness. Hot‑dip‑galvanization is adopted for main keels. LOW‑E insulated‑glass provides excellent heat‑insulation and noise‑reduction performance, and aluminum‑panels are equipped with complete waterproof‑sealing structures to eliminate risks of water‑leakage, wind‑deformation and thermal‑expansion. BIM simulation was applied in advance for curtain‑wall grid layout, pipeline‑collision‑checking and detailed‑joint optimization to reduce high‑altitude construction‑difficulty.

We undertook the integrated curtain‑wall construction for tower and podium facades, covering detailed‑design of glass‑curtain‑wall and aluminum‑panel‑wall, installation of post‑embedded plates, fabrication & hoisting of vertical‑horizontal keels, lightning‑protection construction, mounting of LOW‑E insulated‑glass panels and decorative aluminum‑panels, weather‑resistant‑sealant sealing and waterproof‑treatment for corners & expansion‑joints. Strict quality‑control was carried out on keel‑erection precision, panel flatness and sealing quality. Reinforced waterproof measures were applied on leakage‑prone zones. We delivered high‑quality facade works and contributed to the construction of premium commercial landmark in southern‑Xuzhou.
