The neat‑and‑smooth exterior‑lines achieve multi‑functions of daylighting‑display, energy‑saving, noise‑reduction, wind‑rain‑resistance, creating a highly‑recognizable urban commercial‑landmark.
As a large‑scale multi‑story commercial‑curtain‑wall project, it contains a huge‑quantity of facade‑panels and long‑transverse span, with complex transition‑joints between roof and curtain‑wall. Major construction‑challenges include layout‑planning for large‑area aluminum‑panels, high‑altitude positioning of cantilever‑keels, seamless edge‑closing for curved‑corners, waterproof‑sealing at roof‑facade connection and installation of lightning‑protection‑system. Situated in coastal Eastern‑Guangdong, the site suffers high‑temperature‑humidity all‑year‑round, frequent summer‑typhoons and heavy‑rainstorms. The curtain‑wall system is specially calculated for high‑standard wind‑pressure‑resistance, water‑tightness and air‑tightness for coastal‑buildings in South‑China. Hot‑dip‑galvanization anti‑corrosion treatment is applied to main‑secondary keels. Fluorocarbon‑aluminum‑panels deliver outstanding salt‑spray‑resistance and UV‑aging‑resistance against damp‑coastal‑erosion. LOW‑E insulated‑glass improves indoor heat‑insulation and daylighting‑performance for long‑term safe‑operation. We undertook the integrated facade‑curtain‑wall construction, covering detailed‑design of aluminum‑panel‑wall and glass‑curtain‑wall, installation of post‑embedded‑plates, hoisting‑welding of vertical‑horizontal keels, lightning‑protection construction, mounting of LOW‑E insulated‑glass panels and fluorocarbon‑aluminum‑panels, weather‑resistant sealing‑work and waterproof‑reinforcement for corners, expansion‑joints and roof‑transition‑zones. Strict quality‑control was implemented on keel‑erection precision, panel flatness, sealing‑quality and typhoon‑proof waterproof‑details for coastal‑environment.
